The administration of general anaesthesia in general practice are under numerous rules and regulations when it comes to education and experience of the anesthesiologist, the dentist, and employees of the practice due to the lack of a recovery department and the lack of intensive care linked to the practice. This paper will describe the rules and regulations for the administration of general anaesthesia of children and adults in general practice. Precautions to be considered before, under and after the general anaesthesia/dental treatment will be covered.
